Food Cupboard Help – Wednesday   Help is needed at the Food Cupboard this Wednesday, December 13, at 10:00 a.m. to unload the Pitt truck and set up. There is a sign-up on the board in the narthex.

Help Needed Decorating for Christmas – Next Sunday   Help is needed next Sunday, December 17, after 11:00 worship to decorate the church for Christmas. There is a sign-up on the board in the narthex.

Fruit Basket Delivery Help Needed – Next Sunday   Fruit baskets will be made for homebound members and people with illness from our congregation. They will be available after either worship service next Sunday. If you can help out with delivery, please sign up on the board in the lobby.

Christmas Eve Offering   This year’s Christmas Eve offering will be distributed as follows: one half will be put in the regular budget for operating expenses. One fourth will be given to Pastor Boomhower for his 2018 discretionary fund. This is a fund Pastor uses when individuals and families contact him through the year about special financial needs that they have. The remaining one fourth will be given to the nursing staff of Karns City School District for items of necessity for needy children in the district. Help share the “Good News that God has sent his son to us” by giving what you can.

Special Music for Christmas Eve   We are looking for people to sing or play a musical instrument before both Christmas Eve worship services. There will be seven spots available for children and teenagers before 6:00 worship, and seven spots available for adults before the 9:00 worship on Christmas Eve. Sign up on the board in the lobby.

Greeters, Acolytes, & Ushers Needed for Christmas Eve Worship   We need people to be greeters, acolytes, and ushers for Christmas Eve worship services at 6:00 and 9:00. A sign-up sheet is on the board in the lobby.

Blood Drive – Tuesday, January 2   There will be a blood drive at Holy Trinity on Tuesday, January 2, from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. Cookies for the canteen and blood donors are needed. Sign up on the board in the lobby.

Trucks to Sunnyview – January 9   Two trucks are needed on Tuesday, January 9, at 8:00 a.m. to pick up food at Sunnyview for the Food Cupboard. We also need people to help unload the trucks from Sunnyview at the Food Cupboard at 8:20 a.m. Please sign up on the board in the narthex if you can help.

Michelle (Yeager) Krill Donations Approved   Congregation council has approved receiving donations from the congregation for Michelle (Yeager) Krill. She is Wendy Taylor’s sister and Lisa Kepple’s niece. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer – cholangiocarcinoma and is going to Mexico for treatments hoping to be accepted for domestic treatment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. If you would like to help, please place your donation in a yellow offering envelope or a pew envelope and mark it “Michelle Krill.”

Greeters Needed for Worship   Greeters are needed for both the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services. Please consider greeting your church family as they gather for worship. A reminder will be mailed to you the week before you are scheduled to greet. Sign up on the board in the narthex.

2018 Offering Envelopes Available  Please pick up your 2018 offering envelopes from the table in the narthex. If you cannot find your envelopes, please get in touch with the church office.

Financial Books for 2017 to Close December 31   The financial records of giving for 2017 will close following the offering on Sunday, December 31. If you have a financial gift that you wish to be counted in 2017, please place it in the offering no later than Sunday, December 31, or mail it so that it reaches the church office by Saturday, December 30. All financial gifts received after that will be placed in 2018 giving to begin the new year.

Christmas Card List   There is a yellow flyer on the table in the narthex that contains a list of people who are members of Holy Trinity who are in nursing homes, personal care homes, senior center residences, recuperating at home from chronic illness or recent surgery, 80+ years old, or serving in the military. You may wish to send a card or note to one or more of them.

50+ Wedding Anniversaries Needed   We will recognize members with a 50+ wedding anniversary in the bulletin and also in the Prayers of the Church. If you are celebrating 50+ years of marriage, please let the church office know. We will keep a list once we receive your information.

Cookbooks for Sale   Cookbooks are still being sold. The cost of the cookbook is $10. All profits from the cookbook sale will be donated to the Petroleum Valley Food Cupboard and World Hunger. See Pat, Esther, or Laura to purchase a cookbook.
